However
Yes, and your quoting other Greek sources doesn't get us anywhere, either. The fact remains that it was widrespread in their society. Also, your discussion on Spartan boys being brought up the way they were accomplished nothing. It was impressing that you knew all that, but impressing me isn't really the same as proving your point. You stated that no society has ever approved of, accepted, or promoted homosexuality. In these instances, the society seems to have done so. Also, Hadrian was an openly gay emperor in Rome. Yes, the Romans had a large number of conservatives who believed that men should all get married to women. This wasn't because they saw homosexuality as wrong per se, but that they desired there to be as many true Romans as humanly possible on the planet. Racial reasons, as it were. As I said before, however, all this bickering as to what the Greeks and Romans did is pointless. Clearly we have found a society that had a homosexual component (even if you take out Sparta and Athens (Which I don't believe you can), there's no way of protesting ancient Thebes). Let's move on from there, and cover the more important points of "unnatural" homosexuality being carried on "naturally" in nature and the intrinsic problems with homosexuality. Nor have you answered why it is that God would have any reason to dislike homosexuality. Also, you state that Jesus made a new pact with God that cancelled out all of those laws in Leviticus. Is it possible that it cancelled out the supposed gay verse in Leviticus, too? Certainly he didn't specifically say "yes, all of those laws that God brought down to us don't count anymore, except of course for the gay one." If you have given up on the old testament, then why quote it as the source as to why homosexuality is wrong? With your extensive knowledge of scripture, I'm sure you can find verses that let me mix fibers and the like while simultaneously not allowing me (I say allowing, since I don't (although I do fight endlessly for the rights of homosexuals, as I feel sincere compassion for them)) to have innate feelings for other men. I'd also like to know if you truly feel that homosexuals have never done our society any good. Obviously, Christians have done extensive wrong to homosexuals (EG: the source of the word 'faggot'). Where's the flip side, though? Finally, if God didn't intend for those laws to hold true after the coming of Jesus, why would he have created them to begin with? Certainly he knew he was going to be creating Jesus, as he should know everything in advance. You can't really change your mind if every choice you've ever made is perfect, can you?
