What, the case studies saying "Look! Most gay people have crappy relationships with their fathers, and/or were rejected by their peers, and/or were sexually molested by members of the [same/opposite] sex!"
I don't have to disprove that. All I have to do is point out that it doesn't prove anything, not without a heterosexual control group... and to be a valid control group, they'd have to be heterosexuals who have sought psychiatric help, as the homosexual case studies presumably had.
Interesting site. I'm glad there are people on the "conservative Christian" side who are willing to admit that conservative Christianity's attitude towards homosexuality is sometimes less than ideal. To put it politely.
I'll try it out on some Christians who I feel have such an attitude. I suspect it will have about as much of an effect as my arguments have had here. Either they will regard their approach as not being "firm" enough, or they will insist that they <I>are</I> showing love and respect for homosexuals... by "warning" them that they are perverts who are going to hell. Or most likely, both.
