If you don't agree with the 10 commandments, that does not mean you have to get rid of a monument that has it. If you really mean what you just said, then I guess we should remove the word God from every dollar bill and every constitutional document, because having that word there is closer to a nation established religion than removing the word is to restricting God. If you remove the word God from every dollar bill and documents (the ones that have God on it), it is clear that the restriction of religion is greater. If it was the other way around: Ex: American law was made and God had no influence on it whatsoever. Then I would see your point. But this nation is already established, why change it? Why is having a monument bothering you? |
