ArchivedEndurance/Alpha debate: The TrinityIn the scriptures there is no verse that says that God is composed of three persons/spirits, but rather that their is One God. Looking at scripture the term One God and One Lord is used 5 and 7 times respectively. The term that God is One is used 3 times. We are told there is no god beside that One God once and that there is not other god 3 times. Some argue, that One is referring to essence or unity, but that would mean everything One is used, it never means one numerically. This is not acceptable. Scripture speaks of different roles or manifestations of that one God but they never claim that God to be more than One Spirit. Additionally,
