Archivedeternal securitySorry but faithman but 1 John 2:18-20 does NOT call them partakers of the Holy Ghost. Verse 20 makes it clear that these people John is talking never received the Holy Spirit. They either was playing Church or more likely Jews planted in the church being spies reporting back to the Pharisee's! It makes it clear in verse 18 that these people are antichrist and they never believed that Jesus was the Son of God. Here it is faithman read the verse's in context! 18. Young ones, last hour it is, and as you heard that the antichrist is coming, even now antichrists many have arisen, from which you know that last hour it is. 19. From us they(antichrists) went out, but not they(antichrists) were of us, if because they were of us, they(antichrists) have remained would with us. However, that it would be revealed that not they(antichrists) are all of us 20. And you an anointing have from the Holy One, and you know all. The next verse you like to use is Hebrews 4:2. Why are you unable to read the verses before and after these for? Verse 1 tells you to fear faithman lest to enter into the rest of Him you perhaps could come short of the promise! Why are you unable to heed any warnings in the Bible? Hebrews 4 1. let us fear Therefore, lest perhaps being left a promise to enter into the rest of Him, seems any-one of you to come short. 2. For indeed we are having had the Good News preached even as those also. But it did not profit the word of hearing those, not having been mixed with faith in those hearing. 3. Because we enter into the rest, those believing, even as He said, As I swore in the anger of Me, If they enter into the rest of Me. Through the works from {the} foundation of world coming into being. Hebrews 6 4. For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, 5. And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, 6. If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame. 1) They were once partakers/participant of the Holy Ghost. 2) They were once enlightened. 3) They did taste of the heavenly gift/Salvation. 4) They did taste of the good Word of God. 5) They experienced the works of power by the Holy Spirit. 6) They saw of a coming age. 7) They fell away/apostatize aka committed Blaspheme againist the Holy Spirit! 8) It is impossible for them to renew a change of their heart/repentance. 9) Because they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame. |
