John 1:11-13
11 He came to His own, and those who were His own did not receive Him. 12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name, 13 who were born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. NAS
Can you receive anything without exercising your own will? What this does not say is
have become.
Matthew 24:13
13 "But the one who endures to the end, he shall be saved. NAS
Revelation 21:7-8
7 "He who overcomes shall inherit these things, and I will be his God and he will be My son. 8 "But for the cowardly and unbelieving and abominable and murderers and immoral persons and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death." NAS
When we are saved we are given the tools to endure to the end and overcome this world; but if we don’t use those tools and rely on false doctrine we are not abiding in Christ. God does not force us to live a Christian life that is up to us by using the tools He has gifted us with.
