Hello Ladyfatima!
I find it very strange how all the Muslims that I know all differ in opinion!
Some muslims believe in resurrection others do not, some muslims believe that Hell is a purifier while other do not!
You continue over and over again fail to realise The Most important truth about the Bible,{That Jesus died for the sins of Mankind and without His shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins therefore making all who do not receive them bastards.
(2) If Jesus believed that his prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane would not be heard[/b], why did he tell his disciples earlier that prayers are answered?: Would any of you who are fathers give your son a stone when he asked for bread (Matthew 7:9-10) which means that God hears the prayers of man more than a father answers the wishes of his children and Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and it will be opened to you. And whatever you ask in your prayers, you will receive, if you have faith. (Matthew 21:22; John 11:41, 42)
And Jesus said,"John 11:42 - And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me.
1) If Jesus knew that he was to die on the cross, why did he spend all night praying in the Garden of Gethsemane seeking deliverance: “Father if it is possible may this cup be taken from me”? (Matthew 26:39)
Of course He knew that He was going to die on the cross! Was Jesus trying to escape His crucifixion? NO!
It is written:From that time forth began
Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day. Then Peter took him, and began to rebuke him, saying, Be it far from thee, Lord: this shall not be unto thee. But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men. Matthew 15:21-23
He knew He had to do what He had to do, What Jesus did not like was to be separated from God the Father. Not the deliverance of the crucifixion itself.
(4) Why should Matthew, Mark and Luke all report (Matthew 26:39, Mark 14:36, Luke 22:42) that Jesus asked for the cup of suffering to be passed if possible yet John (John 18:11) reports that Jesus hastened for the crucifixion saying shall I not drink the cup the Father hath given me?
Actually John 18:11 states," Then said Jesus unto Peter, Put up thy sword into the sheath: the cup which my Father hath given me,
shall I not drink it?
I don't see where it states that He wanted to hasten the crucifixion? He clearly said,"shall I not drink it? Which means put away your sword, do you not know that the Son of Man MUST be crucified!
(12)Crucifixion was meant to be an accursed death (Deuteronomy 21:23). If Jesus was crucified, did that mean he also suffered an accursed death?
Deuteronomy 21:23 "To be hange on a tree in OT refers to hanging and not crucifixion, crucifixion did not even exist in those days!!!
(5) Why did Pontius Pilate just simply ignore his wife's plea to have nothing to do with Jesus on account of her bad dream? (Matthew 27:19) If the very mission of Jesus was to suffer death, why should God Almighty show a dream to Pilate's wife which would cause her to try and persuade her husband to release Jesus? Would not that appear to counter God’s own plan?
Where does it say that God Almighy sent her that dream, who is really trying to stop the crucifixion? HMMM...
6) If Pilate really wanted Jesus to die on the cross, why would he fix the crucifixion on a Friday evening knowing that the Jews would have to take him down before Sabbath and that such a little time on the cross was insufficient for him to die?
Pilate was a leader, he was more concerned about his political career then doing what is right. He could have made the right choice, he knew in his right mind that Jesus was innocent, he was afraid of the crowd.
(7) If Jesus knew all along that he was destined to be crucified to death (indeed if that was his purpose in life), why did he exclaim on the cross Eli, Eli Lama Sabachthani meaning my God my God why hast thou forsaken me? (Matthew 27:46)
He suffered tha agony of of spiritual death for us,"Matthew 27:46 - And about the ninth hour Jesus
cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
Cried with a loud voice, a shout of triumph, and yeilding His Spirit and returning back to God the Father to become one with Him again after His separation on the cross.
( 8 ) Vinegar is often considered to have a stimulating effect, rather similar to smelling salts. Why, in Jesus’ case, did it suddenly lead to his death? (John 19:29)
The vinegar which you are referring to is actually "sour wine" and nowhere does it say that
it actually leaded to His death.
First, The biblical text above said nothing about bleeding, but only that there "CAME ... OUT blood and water."
Second, Gravity would not drain blood upward from the heart of an upright dead man. (The valves of the heart would be uppermost.)
Third, Post-mortem Lividity "begins in one to four hours, depending on the AMOUNT of the blood in the VESSELS." The time between death, in Jesus' case, and the piercing, could have been less than an hour. The time of death was about 3pm, which is also the time when the Jews began final preparation for the feast of unleavened bread (cleansing their house of leaven, etc.), so his side would have been pierced shortly afterward, since the soldiers were sent because of the Jews' preparation, to hasten the death of those crucified. And also, the AMOUNT of blood left after scourging, and bleeding from his head, hands, and feet wounds, would have minimized any lividity.
Fourth, The "apex" (bottom) of the heart is under the "FIFTH rib", about 3 inches from the chest midline, on the LEFT side, which is where the spear pierced his "side" (Grk. PLEURA, "a rib, i.e. by extension, "side".) The Greek word for the coming out of the fluid is EXHALTHEN ("to escape"). Both the pressure of the spear and the point of entry at the bottom of the heart would be sufficient for there to be an immediate "escape" of fluid. That "water" also came out, indicates that both pericardium and HEART were ruptured.
(11) Why did Jesus die before the other two who were crucified with him even though the legs of the other two were broken to hasten death? (John 19:32)
Do you know how it feels like to bear the sins of mankind? I would not want to know.
(13) Why was it that a Roman soldier was so readily prepared to allow Joseph (a subjected citizen) to take down Jesus’ body from the cross without checking and without Joseph having any apparent lawful authority?
Joseph was a member of the
Sanhedrin, who later became a disciple. His wealth enambled him to purchase a tomb and with the help of Nicodemus.
(15)Why should Joseph of Arimathea and Nicodemus take so much trouble to recover the body of Jesus when this would have been the duty of the nearest relative?
First of all he was a member of the Sanhedrin and he had the wealth to prchase a tomb for Jesus unlike his relatives. Furthermore, he went throught all that trouble because he became a dedicated follower of the Lord.
(16) Why did Pilate agree to release the 'body' to Joseph of Arimathea (a known Jew and follower of Jesus) if he was not sympathetic to Jesus?
Where does it say that he was not sympathetic? he feared the crowd! therefore consenting with the crowd. Otherwise another action would have been taken.
17) Crucifixion was a slow death. It usually lasted several days. Death followed from exhaustion, inability to respire property as a result of being in an upright position or attacks by wild animals. Why did Jesus, who was a fit and healthy man used to walking the countryside for long distances, die so quickly in only a matter of a few hours?
Once again, do you know how it feels like to bear the burden and suffering of all mankind?
( 18 ) If Jesus really was expected to die in such a short time, why did Pilate express surprise at Jesus’ death? (Mark 15:42-44)
Pilate was surprised at the report because men typically hung two or three days before dying.
The questions that you ask are silly, would you like me to ask you questions about the Quran?
It is written: 2 Timothy 2:23 -
But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes.
23) Why was the stone moved from the tomb (Matthew28:2) if it was a supernatural rising?
The scripture says:Matthew 28:2 says,"And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the
angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it.
Are you telling me that, that is not supernatural? If an angel appeared before you, would you not call that supernatural since they do not appear often.
(24) When Mary Magdalene and Mary the Mother of Jesus saw him, he was wearing gardener’s clothing (John 20:15). Where did Jesus get these clothes from? His own clothes had been taken by the soldiers who had divided them drawing lots (John 19:23). It was not through Joseph of Arimathea or Nicodemus becausethey are only reported of having taken in herbs, aloes and a linen shroud (John 19:39, 40). What was the significance of Jesus wearing gardener's clothing (as opposed to normal clothing)? Was it meant to be a disguise? If so, for what purpose?
Beware of wolves in sheeps clothing! she soon recognised Him by her spirit, but you seem not to recognise His TRUE divine nature.
(27) If Jesus was the risen Christ, why did he meet his disciples behind closed doors and not in the open as he used to? (John 20:19)
It is written:Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you. And when he had so said, he shewed unto them his hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the LORD. Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you. And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them,
Receive ye the Holy Ghost:John 20:19-22
This is a special occasion whereby they receive the Holy Ghost, not only that He was to leave them in His body and commision them and to sanctify them for the special tasks which lie ahead of them.
1 Timothy 3:16 - And without controversy GREAT is the MYSTERY of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
Untill next time, Farewell!
God Bless!
