ArchivedJudging & Testing God??Peace Alpha, What do you mean by a “general sense”?
The light that we receive from fire and through electricity is not the same as the light from the sun, stars etc…. So tell me, are you using this argument to disapprove the contradiction that light existed before the cause of light? If you are, then in one post you say that God is light himself, so that ‘s where that light came from…and now in this post your arguing that electricity also gives us light. Which is it? You obviously don’t have one explanation. As they say Alpha, drowning man clutches a straw.
Fair enough. My original argument was that light, as stated in Genesis, is created on the 1st day and the cause of light was created on the fourth day. So tell me Alpha, if the dry land, the seas, the vegetation are all created on the 3rd day, then what kind of earth is created on the 1st day. Do you mean the actual word “ Earth” was created on the 1st day, because then it would make sense. Let me tell you this much, even a layman can tell you no planet is a planet if it doesn’t have dry land. Yet it clearly tell us all the important features of the Earth were created on the 3rd day. God it’s so obvious, has faith blinded you this much, that you can’t even see the obvious.
Obviously, I had made a mistake in my explanation, because we all know the sun has its own light. The point that I was trying to make was that the Bible says that the Moon also has light of its own. I see you’re trying to equate your big blunder with my simple mistake. Alpha, the Bible clearly separates the stars from the “lesser light and the Greater light”. It reads: “God made two great lights-the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars.” Do you see the separation? If you claim the stars were incorporated in to the lesser light, then tell me, why is the stars mentioned separately from the lesser light? Look the verse is speaking on the Moon, because it’s the moon that gives us our greatest light during the night, not the stars (even though the sun is a star too). So the question still rests with you Alpha, does God not know that the Moon does not have light of its own, or is it that writers of the Bible. I’d say the latter. So Alpha, shall we move onto the other scientific contradiction in the Bible? BTW am sorry I got you confused, it’s just that I haven’t yet learnt how to use a quote with the name attached to it.
