BigQueerOrganist wrote:As you can see, much of the history lesson in the Bible does not apply to todays world. You constantly make references to sexual activity in the old testament. It says in Genesis 3:16, that the "husband shall rule over you." This is a direct reference to gender heirarchy. Throughout the OT we constantly see this demonstrated.
Your knowledge of the Bible and the New Testament is sadly lacking:
Ephesians 5:22-33
22 Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the church, He Himself being the Savior of the body. 24 But as the church is subject to Christ, so also the wives ought to be to their husbands in everything. 25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her; 26 that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, 27 that He might present to Himself the church in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she should be holy and blameless. 28 So husbands ought also to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself; 29 for no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ also does the church, 30 because we are members of His body. 31 For this cause a man shall leave his father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife; and the two shall become one flesh. 32 This mystery is great; but I am speaking with reference to Christ and the church. 33 Nevertheless let each individual among you also love his own wife even as himself; and let the wife see to it that she respect her husband. NAS

I am not sure who you are referring to when you posted: “Your spelling is terrible, the split infinitives, and the constant misuse of words is completely showing of your education”, however, Crystal is dyslexic so her spelling is not from lack of education. A little understanding is needed when reading some posts.
Now about spelling, hierarchy is not spelled “heirarchy” and the “old testament” is considered a proper noun and should be spelled “Old Testament”. I am shocked that a man with a master’s degree can neither spell nor capitalize properly, especially when this person sits in judgment on the faults of others.
As to the paragraph I quoted, Peter warns us about personal or private Scripture interpretations:
2 Peter 1:20-21
20 But know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one's own interpretation, 21 for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God. NAS
. Peter also recognized Paul’s writings as equal in authority to the Old Testament:
2 Peter 3:14-16
14 Therefore, beloved, since you look for these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, spotless and blameless, 15 and regard the patience of our Lord to be salvation; just as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given him, wrote to you, 16 as also in all his letters, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which the untaught and unstable distort, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures, to their own destruction. NAS
It is those who are untaught and unstable that feel the need to distort God’s word for personal reasons.
We are warned by Paul:
2 Timothy 3:1-9
1 But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. 2 For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, 4 treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God; 5 holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; and avoid such men as these. 6 For among them are those who enter into households and captivate weak women weighed down with sins, led on by various impulses, 7 always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. 8 And just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so these men also oppose the truth, men of depraved mind, rejected as regards the faith. 9 But they will not make further progress; for their folly will be obvious to all, as also that of those two came to be. NAS
Your derogatory, judgmental posts are only revealing the folly of new age false theology and your lack of true faith in Christ and understanding of God's holy word.
