Re: Jesus and Hell
Yahweh does love his children,, under the Old Covenant as you probably know, he promised a future Messiah Isaiah 6, 53, 58 are beutiful chapters but the entire Book is marvelous in describing His marvelous love for the children of Israel. He verbalizes it in Isaiah chapter 40.
Most Jews view Yahweh from the Old Covenant. As prophesied in Isaiah 53, and fulfilled in the New Covenant, John the Baptist, confirmed and warned people to prepare for the coming of Messiah. In St. John 1:12, He came unto his own, but they received him not, but as many as received Him, to Them gave he the power to become the son of Yahweh. Check it out. I happened to be surfing the net and saw this so I am a convert, who was convinced that I was okay with Yahweh, but I viewed life from a religious perspective, not relationship. Nicodemus approach Jesus in St. John 3 the same way, Jesus let him know that the natural things were difficult to discern, such as the wind, how could he understand spiritual things. It takes faith to believe in the resurrection of Christ and to accept him as Messiah. Only then can one experience life and see life from His perspective. In order to gain life, we must lose our life for Messiah's sake. Jesus is the Messiah, He says you must be born again. Truly that hit home in my heart one day, and I have not been the same since.
I should have been dead a long time ago but he spare my life and gave me a testimony. As the hart pants after the water broook, my heart (your heart) pants after thee O LORD. Trust Yahweh by faith to encourage your heart and ask Him in faith (the work is faith or to believe). Be sincere He will give you what you need to know and direct you to his Word.
Blessings to you and your family
