Trinity Debate1 Corinthians 15:24-28 Trinity Doctrine Flushed??Aieno Wrote: So when men bow down to images as a sign of veneration you take it as worship, even when I have given you biblical evidence that bowing down to someone is not always considerd worship. On the other hand when the bible says Jesus was worshipped you spin it around and say its a sign of respect, now I think your being a bit hypocritical. "As Peter was coming in, Cornelius met him, and fell down at his feet, and worshipped him. But Peter took him up, saying, Stand up; I myself also am a man." Acts 10:25,26 Peter refused worship. "I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said to me, See you do it not: I am your fellow-servant, and of your brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God." Revelation 19:10 The angel of the Lord refused to be worshipped. "Then they that were in the ship came and worshipped him, saying, Of a truth you are the Son of God" Matthew 14:33 Jesus accepted Worship. The same word used for worshipping God is the same word used for Jesus to be worshipped. The word used for worship in Greek is proskeneo the same word used for worship for the true God and for worship of false Gods. Its the same word used in Acts 10:25,26 and Revelation 19:10. So my question is, why did Peter and the angel refuse to be worshipped but Jesus accepted it? Aieno Wrote: Scripture does teach that Jesus is God, that the Holy Spirit is God and that the Father is also God. Since scripture also teaches God is one, there can not be three gods, hence the Trinity. |
