Apologetics Forum: Ask questions about Christianity/Debate doctrinesWhy does god not answer my prayers?Based on your posts, I doubt you fulfilled the requirements. First, you referred to Jesus as God, however in John 17:3 Jesus tells us the Father is the only true God. Second, you got mad over not getting a job you wanted. If you believed what Jesus taught in Matthew 5-7, anger would not have been your response, you would have realized that God already knows what you need and had a better job in mind for you. Third, you judged the person who got the job, which demonstrates you do not "love your neighbor as yourself", since if you did you would rejoice that he/she got the job. And you posted that studying the Bible is not something you do, which tells me you do not have even a basic knowledge of who God is or who Jesus is. Now, in order to abide in Jesus' words you have to a least read them, and if his words abide in you, you would have known all the above (and more) based on just reading (no study necessary) his words. Yes, a number of times and in ways I did not expect. |
