Also, I find it funny how you talk of other religions: Maybe it's just because we aren't speaking face-to-face, but I get the feeling of incredulity from this response. Is reincarnation truly more far-fetched than any other type of after-life. Of course to you it certainly feels more far-fetched because you likely were raised that way. And while Hinduism sanctions a caste system, Christianity also sanctioned The Crusades in the same way. Anyway, about the parable, I thought it was pretty straight-forward and relatively good. My main problem with it may be that it's even too much so. I just find it funny that everyone ended up nitt-picking about the details of the parable maybe even as some sort of defense mechanism or something. Honestly, I'd expect Christians to know most of all what a parable is... |
