Okay, let's take your little story. Allow me to simplify and add:
A hypothetical god like creature creates some creatures with souls and gives htem the ability to be nice to each other.
The the hypothetical god like creature allows the creatures to make more of themselves.
But, because of some snags the creatures sometimes do a bad job making more of themselves. Sometimes they can't raise their new offspring correctly (parental disfunction), sometimes they hurt their partner (a direct violation of the be nice commandments), and sometimes they just go about making new creatures in the wrong way (but they still enjoy it).
Now here is the point, of all the borrible things a man can do, killing, rape, incest, idolatry, messing up in the creation prosses is one of the most innocuous. If you look at it, as long as nobody is hurt it is about as bad as eating blood and fat.
I'm not one of those people that claim that no homosexuals can change. In fact, in my experience homosexual and hetrosexual are not hard, defined categories but general regions of existance. Many homosexual can't happily act hetrosexual just as many hetrosexuals can't happily act homosexual.
So here's the deal:
If a person is unhappy with the way they are, then by all means help them find their way. The way many Christians go about the issue of homosexuality is offensive and puts people off. (Homsexual thoughts come from the devil, you are evil if you follow them, all homosexuals are going to hell, ect.) If a person is a happy, well-adjusted homosexual, do not go trying to tell them they're going to hell. That is mean and not loving towards your neighbor, which is what I thought Christianity was supposed to be teaching.
