Your response to Aburaees denies the fact that many Muslims have left off posting at JCF only after I showed them the Bible does not teach God is a Trinity by appealing to those Trinitarians who left because they cannot refute God's revealed truth.
The foundation of the NT is the OT. The doctrine of the Trinity denies the truth of the Old and is not taught in the New, which is why I came to reject the Trinity as a valid doctrine. You made some sweeping charges concerning Jews and Hebrew, all without support. On the other hand you continue to defend "echad" can mean a compound unity and again with no support. I have "one" bedroom suite that consists of a bed, a dresser and mirror, and a table, and I own "one" home. What constitutes a compound in the foregoing sentence? "One bedroom suite". In my left hand I am holding one grape and in my right hand I am holding one cluster of grapes. What designates a compound unity in this sentence? The word cluster, not the word "one". God is one, not three. This is clearly seen in the OT as well as the NT. Yaweh refers to Himself as "I" in over 6,000 Scriptures. Yaweh is Israel's "elohyim". Three persons never refer to themselves as "I".
In other words Joseph you are defending a traditional doctrine with no real defense of that doctrine other than to label my questions as "embarrassing". What is embarrassing is the fact you cannot respond to those questions but resort to personal attacks against me instead of disproving my thesis with sound "exegisis".
Jesus is not God, and never made the claim he is God. In fact Jesus refers to the Father as the only true God. Paul wrote that for us (Christians) there is but one God, the Father.
Now you can follow pagan Greeks who used Greek philosophy to interpret the Bible, but I will "reason" with God and seek His truth and God tells us that He is one and only one, not three in one. He also tells us that Jesus is His only begotten son that He exalted to His right hand as the "prince and Savior" of mankind for those who believe and obey.
