Trinity DebateGod refers to Himself as JesusI disagree and since I read your apologetic sites did you read mine? I doubt it since truth is not part of your agenda. Your problem Googles is you do not have even a modicum of knowledge concerning the Hebrew foundation of Christianity. The eldest son is given the same status and honors due his father. So the fact that Jesus who was given all authority by the Father, was exalted to the Father's right-hand as both Prince and Savior, was appointed the Father's heir by the Father, was appointed the Father's High Priest by the Father, is the only man who is the only mediator between God and man totally defeats Jesus the Son of God is also God. John 17:3 is not a comparison between the one true God and false gods. This is found in 1 Corinthians 8:6 where Paul writes there is but one God the Father. "The Father" modifies and clarifies who the one God is. Another aspect of your arrogance is the fact you refuse to acknowledge that in my 63 years I have not read more than one apologetic for the Trinity or that anyone who studies Scripture and takes Scripture at face value can then reject the Trinity. Neither you nor Origen, nor Shamoun were present with the Lord or knew the Lord. So what makes you think I will take interpretations of Scripture over the actual words of the men who wrote the very Scriptures you are interpreting to support a manmade doctrine? The only way you can defend the Trinity is to take Scripture out of context, add interpretations to verses like John 17:3 that are not found in that verse or its context, and wrangle over words. |
