2nd Peter 1:16-21
16 For we did not follow cleverly devised tales when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of His majesty. 17 For when He received honor and glory from God the Father, such an utterance as this was made to Him by the Majestic Glory, "This is My beloved Son with whom I am well-pleased"-- 18 and we ourselves heard this utterance made from heaven when we were with Him on the holy mountain. 19 And so we have the prophetic word made more sure, to which you do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star arises in your hearts. 20 But know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one's own interpretation, 21 for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God. NAS
In Peter's first sermon he preached that Jesus Christ is a man and Paul echoes this more than once. In no Scripture do Peter, John, or Paul teach that Jesus is God or that Jesus preexisted as the divine Son of God.
Now you want me to read apologetic sites? How about you reading all the articles on this site,
Restoration Fellowship since they make more sense than your apologetics sites that appeal to traditions that deny the truth of God's word.
You have accused me of being arrogant when in fact your arrogance in not addressing all the threads that disprove the Trinity and then attacking me is exceeded only by your ignorance of God's word. You might try studying the Bible instead of apologetics. I did just that, which is why I now reject the Trinity. BTW, I have read those sites you posted.
Here is my rebuttal to the one on 1 Corinthians 8:6. "Lord' is not a title used exclusively for deity and if you have studied the Bible you would know this. Any person of high rank, authority, position in the community, angels and etc. are addressed as "lord". So the fact that Paul writes that for Christians there is but one true God the Father and one Lord Jesus Christ he is not using two different titles for deity.
I also read the article on John 17:3, which is full of assumptions that are addressed in other Scriptures and shown to be false. Shamoun writes that Jesus demanded that the Father give Him glory when in fact Jesus is requesting the Father glorify Him. Further on in John 17 Jesus states He gave His glory to His disciples and we know from the OT that God will not give His glory to another. So you see Googles your apologetic sites are a failure.
