Oh, great. Now I'm hungry for popcorn. Thank you very much. There goes my diet!
One thing I forgot to point out to Crystal: the cult that I mentioned is not just terrizing good people in Topeka, Kansas. You remember those people who picketed during Matthew Shepard's funeral?
Yup. Those people were members of the Phelps family, who like to call themselves the Westboro Baptist Church. However, they're not registered with any of the churches. Plus, it seems as though they only pay attention to Scriptures that mention the Lord's anger and hatred for sin. They don't acknowledge the many Scriptures that mention the fact that the Lord loves all of his children, and that we should not hate our brothers and sisters. They're convinced that (with the exception fo the Elect, which I'm sure they believe they are) we're all going to Hell, no matter how good we are and no matter how much we love the Lord. Phelps has managed to convince his children and grandchildren (through fear, beatings and intimidation) that if they disagree with him, they'll go to Hell. He's known for harassing public officials, sending them faxes and slanderizing them.
Anyway, the Phelpses travel across the nation, harassing citizens and accusing them of being "f*g enablers" if they don't agree with their methods.
It's obvious who holds the Phelps family in his hands...and it's not the Lord.
