Science, Creation & EvolutionSome Christians believe the earth is 6,000 rears old...Hmmm, too violent eh to be able to fossilise anything eh? I beg to differ. If this was so, then there surely shouldn't have been any body's left after the tsunami, or, after a hurricane/tyfoon there shouldn't be any body's left either... way to much strength... Body's start floating soon after death and then after a while they start sinking. Get a jar, a dead little critter(so far that it sinks), and a couple of different kinds of sand put it all in the jar together with water, put the lid on it, shake it thouroughly, and set it to settle. the critter will be in between the sand layers when it settled, where it could fossilise. It is a known fact, that if you leave acorns in a bucket of water for a year, and you don't touch it, they fossilise, they turn to stone heh. Fossilisation doens't take that long. The trees that went into the lake at mount helens... guess what, they are already petrified. all turned to stone. doesn't take that long. And that with the knowledge that bodies and plants float first, before getting logged and sink, it is very possible they would survive the flood quite intact, but i'll agree the flood has very much strength to rip apart. That is why there are so many incomplete skeletons, or so many burial sites where the bones are just tossed on one big heap as it seems, without order. Michael |
