Hooray for the hindu! Satanism, has some value . . .
This be my first post here on your forum. This also be only the second forum I've ever tried out. Hopefully I won't get banned too soon to save some souls, we'll just have to see.
I read every lame post in this thread and I have to give props to that hindu who stood up for his religion and a world view out of India, that takes some brass. I suppose that was all several months ago, and he's probably moved on with his life at this point.
I'm an atheist, the only realistic point of view. One can make that old agnostic arguement about how we can't possibly know everything and thus one should never completely turn one's back on the potential that a god exists, but that's kinda stupid. One does not make a judgement regarding the existence of a diety with the same standards one uses in a criminal case. We don't need to prove this 'beyond a shadow of a doubt.' We can look at the recorded history of our species and see the countless examples of where religion has been used as a tool to keep the lower classes in their place and docile. You yourselves just pointed out how Hindu be used for that purpose in India with the caste system - why can you not turn that question upon yourselves.
As to satanists, I do believe that most of them are atheists. They utilize Satan as the 'antagonist' as the most effective means of irritating those of you who really do need to be irritated. Afflict the comfortable and all that rot. Sure, some are misguided or deranged murderers, but just try comparing how many satanists commit homocide versus the number of christians who believe in goofy crap and kill in that name. Just last year you had a wacko who killed his family and then had to be restrained in custody after he ripped out his own eyeball and started screaming about the whole 'eye for an eye' thing. Every religion has their fanatics.
I'm not going to go so far as to pretend to worship satan, but I do believe that websites and moderators who encourage a fundamentalist world-view need to be confronted. Fundamentalism is always wrong.
The mind is like a mansion with many rooms. Fundamentalism be a rule for children that they should never go beyond this one door. Free your mind, free your soul. One may not find more happiness or safety, but at least one knows that he or she is grinding up more reality.
