Free For all - Open Discussions and DebatesI am confusedWhat is superstition? If you accept superstition to mean mans attempt to explain what he cannot explain then science fits the definition of superstition. Science cannot prove an old age for the earth, the universe is expanding, or macroevolution. All of these are accepted by faith in the infallibility of science to theorize what cannot be tested. Generalities will not make your case. The Catholic Church persecuted many people (including Catholics) who disagreed with the Vatican. Galileo was a Christian and did not reject his faith in the Bible because science revealed the earth is not the center of the universe. Do you consider Galileo, Newton, Pasteur, Faraday, and etc. superstitious people? All of them were Christians. It appears you are just as brainwashed by your superstitious faith in science as you accuse us of being who put our faith in God.
Again, there is no such thing as a 'superstitious faith in science', that is an oxymoron. I notice you haven't addressed the specific questions I raised but I am very keen to see how 'Absolutetruth' responds to my challenge.
If Absolutetruth and others want to debate with a man who has demonstrated his ignorance of what science is now debating that is up to him. I don't debate the accuracy of Genesis. I accept the Bible as true and watch with glee as scientists destroy the foundations of materialistic theories based on observed and testable data. Also I don't debate men who cannot address sites like Setterfield's with anything more than name calling, which by the way is a violation of the rules you agreed to abide by when you registered. I suggest you review our Forum Rules. |
