ArchivedAre these the forgotton Gospel passages?Pope always gets advise from other apostles. He does not act alone; even when he makes an ex-cathedra proclaimation. He always acts in union with other apostles as a body of Christ and not as an individual proclaiming his own doctrines. True Christian doctrine was formulated by Jesus, and not by any mere human being. Paul and the other apostles merely wrote it down. And all the books of the new testament, including what Paul wrote, got its approval from the Pope Innocent I in 405 AD who closed the cannon of the Bible. This bible was accepted by all until the reformation, when Luther removed some of the old testament books and even tried to remove James. Council of Trent, as a reaction to Luther's action, solemly affirmed the cannon. |
