The cannons were therefore, officially closed by the Catholic Church in 405 AD. During the reformation Luther removed some of the old testament books from the protestant bible; he even tried to remove James, because, it said, that faith without works is dead faith. In response, the council of Trent then reaffirmed the books that were approved by the council of Carthage. |
