The Ten Commandments
We are not to judge one another concerning sabbath days - the feast days that were fulfilled in Christ. This has nothing to do with keeping the Ten Commandments.
Are you implying, that, if under the New Covenant (Jeremiah 31:31-34) where He writes His laws upon our hearts, we can worship other gods, graven images, lie, steal, murder, commit adultery? Why, then, can we disobey the fourth commandment with impunity.
There are two churches mentioned in the final book - Revelation: "Mystery Babylon" - the "Whore" and her daughters - the denominational system, that, has departed from the Word of God, alone, to it's man-made traditions. Referring to this wayward system, Revelation 14:11,12 reads, "And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have NO REST day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name."
But, of God's remnant people, it reads,
"Here is the patience of the SAINTS: here are THEY THAT KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS OF GOD, AND THE FAITH OF JESUS."
All through the New Testament we are told to keep the Ten Commandments. Are we saved by the law? No. Keeping the Ten Commandments is the evidence, that, His law is written upon our hearts (the New Covenant - Jeremiah 31:31-34). We cannot live the christian life in our own strength - that, is what the law reveals, but, when we live in the power of the Holy Spirit, grace enables our obedience and covers our nakedness.
Isaiah 66:22,23 reads, "For as the NEW HEAVENS and the NEW EARTH, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the Lord, so shall your seed and your name remain. And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one SABBATH TO ANOTHER, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the Lord." The Sabbath will be kept in the new heavens and the new earth.
It surprises me to see the lack of reverence for the Word of God. Jesus said, "If ye love me, keep my commandments." What more can any man add? The Lord Jesus Christ told us to keep His commandments.
"And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?"
That, is cheap grace...the grace of God demanded incomprehensible sacrifice from Him. If we can't, even, set aside one day in every week to focus on Him, and ministry to others, how do we think we would ever stand up to persecution?
Come out of her, my people."
