They immediately resorted to the idea that cats had carnivore teeth and therefore must have always been carnivores. Another person brought up the fact that gorillas also have carnivore teeth but they are herbivores. Next I was challenged about proving that cats were once not carnivores, but that was not what the post was about. I was simply bringing up the possibility. Next I was challenged regarding all felines being the same kind and thus having the same mutation.
In other words, they were discussing everything they could except what the article was talking about. I just thought it was an interesting article!
But you are right about it being interesting to see what other evolutionists would say regarding this article and my first post. Let me know if you get anything better than what I got.
Gotcha. Sounds like you got bombarded! I didn't know there was such a debate about this. I think I will do some detective work and see what I can find. And don't worry. I will try to post link from all sides of the fence. Since I am siting in the non fence wilderness out here called open mind.
(I meant that as a poke at those people who bombarded you!) I am though curious about something. Do you think creationists and evolutionist (and the gazillion different minute sects in between) actually have anything in common in their beliefs?
I think that was a brilliant question now that I think about it!
