Please know that with these questions, I intend not to pass judgement on or question the Lord or the Holy Book - I ask merely to hear what you have to say in these matters and if possible, in so doing broaden my own perspective.
I came across a website called "skeptics annotated bible" that among other things bring up contradictions in the Bible. I read these not because I question the Bible - I want this to be extra clear - but as said because I wish to hear your opinions. Here are a few dilammas:
Is it ever OK to judge?
Mt.7:1
Judge not, that ye be not judged.
1 Cor.2:15
But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.
Should we fear God?
Lev.25:17
Thou shalt fear thy God:for I am the LORD your God.
1 Jn.4:18
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
Now as for me, I have spoken to Christ, and He has told me to look into my heart and the answers would dawn to me, and so they have. It is not good to judge your fellow man, and it is not neccessary to live in constant fear of God - one shall both love him and acknowledge his awesome power both at once.
