ArchivedGnostradamus/Alpha Discussion: The TrinityFrom the verse you mentioned, I will explain it with Phillipians 2:5-8: Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. In other words, one can argue that Christ humbled Himself though He was equal with God/ is God. We also see in Hebrews 1:8 that the Father calls the Son "God", but this will be getting into the deity of Christ, which you are not ignorant of. In any event, I do not see anything wrong with looking at the Father being over Christ because I'm sure Christ would not mind. |
