ArchivedAn interesting logo...Being a couch potato is not using energy so your example of watching sports programs is a bit ludicrous. Who is debating that sex is a pleasurable activity? And who is advocating denying gays the right to engage in sex? From a Christian perspective any sexual activity outside of a heterosexual marriage is a sin however under U.S. law sex (except rape and sex with children) is not illegal. So that part of your argument is ludicrous. As to your analysis of “sodomy” throughout history it only shows your lack of real knowledge concerning the subject. Even the Greek city-states had laws that prohibited certain aspects of gay sex and all Greek citizens were expected to marry and produce offspring. Exclusive gay relationships have never been approved by any western culture until recently. Would you care to expand on this comment? From a Christian perspective anything that does not promote “love your neighbor” (and sex is not “love” from a Christian perspective) is unacceptable behavior. As to wanting to change ones sexuality there are reasons other than social acceptance that lead men and women to do just that since seeking social acceptance has never been a reason that works. |
