ArchivedButter and Honey :: Re: Butter and HoneyThe reverse argument could be made Burlem that how could you not understand the beauty of a gay relationship and the fruits we get out of it see above My taste for different types of foods has evolved. For example, I no longer enjoy cakes, cookies, sweets etc. as I did as a child. My desire however to be with men has not changed since I begin puberty. I get no physical stimulation what-so-ever from looking at a beautiful woman. In fact, I've never even had sexual relations with a woman. I imagine that for you it's the reverse -- therefore it's natural for me. It's a horrible and offensive analogy to compare my being gay to liking vegetables or not. Suppose I said you that your Christanity is the appetite of the moment, that perhaps Hindiusm or Buddism or Islam would be changing tastes. I imagine you'd be very offended. Well so am I. I don't 'experiment with my life. I have hopefully about 80 years on this planet before I shuffle off. I'm a reasonably intelligent person. Experimenting with something in which time is the expectant is illogical and I'm not illogical Would you also tell married straight Christain couples who elect not to have children they have mental problems? The Apostles didn't have children nor elect to get married -- were there lives somehow disfunctional. Procreation is not the sole function of marriage and even the bible says so. Last time I checked sharing love is the most important thing. Men who are with men can share the same love that a man and a woman. |
