If that is important, then perhaps the practice of the particular kind of sex was "in the same way" with men as well as with women, not the "practice" of homosexuality. Literally, the text lends itself to either reading. *shrugs* Again, I'm not stating it as the correct way to read the text; I'm just curious why I've never heard anyone else (save the guy who brought it up to me) see it that way, and I was wondering why. I believe in the first post I referenced 6 bible versions, included the praised NASB. If there is another version that is more accepted around here, I would gladly argue from it. Translating the hebrew on the fly is much more time consuming, and I don't pretend my interpretation of the hebrew is better than 500 years of biblical scholarship |
