Hi again Ghada
I think, I have been in Bahrain, at least ones, but I cant real recall it, I stayed in Dubai and places around for a while, that was a brilliant time, especially attending a Arabic wedding was a life experience.
Anyway, some of the issues brought up are really significant, but you must listen to Loki on this matter, embryology (the formation of a baby in a mother's womb) was rather advanced knowledge before Muhammad's time. The same exact development as referred to in the Koran was known to several scientists and philosophers who predated Muhammad with several centuries.
But Ghada the issue I wanted to bring up was that of the Bible and the Koran.
Most modern Muslims, and I guess you as well do not believe in the previous books (Tawrat, Zabur and the Injeel) in their present form, my question is:
Why does the Koran command and urge the Muslims and the Christian to believe the Injeel and all the previous Scriptures:
The Muslim is to believe all the previous Scriptures as they appeared in the time of Muhammad:
Be courteous when you argue with People of the Book except with those among them who do evil. Say: “ We believe in that which is revealed to us and which was revealed to you. Our God and your God is one”. (29:46)
The Christians are to believe and follow their Scriptures:
“Say, O people of the book! You are not founded on anything until you perform the Torah and the Gospel, and what was revealed to you from your Lord”. (Al-Ma’ida 5:68-71)
These verses do not only imply that the previous Scriptures such as the Injeel were once intact and pure and no corrupted.
The verses refer to the Christians and Muslims in the era of Muhammad which confirms that the Bible (the Kitab) was not corrupted in Muhammad's time.
Be blessed
