original sin
I know Satan's sin was the real original sin- rebellion- but I was thinking the original sin of humans- Eve's sin was probably lust (an intense longing) for what the serpent was talking about. She was decieved- but maybe st is right- that the sin brought about from the lust was rebellion- but it seems more complicated than just rebellion because she wasn't trying to resist God's authority like Satan but she was acting in disobedience. I guess the lust got hold of her and caused her to want to disobey God. It was probably disobedience more than rebellion although the two words basically mean the same thing. Genesis 3:6 siad that Eve didn't eat of the tree until she saw that it was "good for food, pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise". I wonder if the serpent had already eaten of the tree because how else could he have said what he said to Eve- nothing bad happened to the serpent, however until Adam and Eve had eaten the fruit.
