"So let me get this straight. You turned away from the hope of finding eternal life in Jesus Christ, just because Christianity is boring?
DOH!!!
(Falls over in shock.) "
i dont believe that jews, muslims, hindus and atheists burn in hell. i do not believe that is the truth. i do not believe anne frank is burning in hell. i refuse to see that.
"And by the way, if I remember correctly, you once expressed interest in abandoning your false religion and becoming a follower of Christ. What happened to steer you away from that? "
you.
"Also, you keep talking about how Christians are close-minded, because we refuse to back down and accept things that we know go direclty against God's commands. But wouldn't it be fair to say that you, yourself, are close-minded, seeing as you object to our deeply held beliefs? Face it, gerani. As human beings, we cannot walk through life being open-minded about everything. There will always be something that we will object to."
aww. there you go again linda. its christian fundamentalists (or any religious zealot for that matter) whom i think are close minded.
haha. at least i read the bible, got it to digest. some things are blatantly obvious. thou shalt not kill. do i really need scripture to tell me that?
have you read hindu scriptures? oh... no. so how are you so openminded?
i have many christian friends, i went to several of my friend's first communion in the RCC and i dont care. we're still friends. besdies that im gay and a hindu. they dont care. my christian friend lara has no problem with my homosexuality.
i guess it more has to do with who is more forward thinking. see the movie, mona lisa smile. i think you will know what i mean.
christians are supposed to be fun loving, kind, compassionate towards all, i just dont see that on this board. thats why what buddha taught was right. the middle path is the key. fundamentalist, its all in the term, going to the fundamentals. youre supposed to embellish on it further. you dont.
have fun, cya!
