I've read none of the books you've mentioned. I shall have a look.
The last book from a creationist I opened was what even a christian would have called shameless propaganda. I actually found it sitting next to a copy of Darwin's 'Origin of Species.' I was under the impression that I had picked up a 'science' book, but after a few minor attempts to make points, the writer devotes an entire chapter (the book had 5 chapters) to talking about god, without presenting a single argument for or against evolution (which was the reason he started the book in the first place.)
Arguments included: The lion is a noble creature and expresses this. The vulture is a scavenger and doesn't look noble at all. Proof that our lord created them, becasue these creatures look exactly like they behave!
This is not a direct quote (I don't have the book here right now) but it does reflect his reasoning. But then again, he did say he was not a scientist at the start of his book, but 'he did read a lot about it.' None of you go by the name David Sörenson, do you?
