Christian/Muslim ThreadsA question for a muslim.Greeting TSJ.... hope you are doing well... thats very easy.... there is a God. which is a fact... (except for the atheists... but thats a totally different deal) if this God is called Father or God or Baghwan or Ishwar or Allah or any other such names... does it mean that they are all different persons? no... its just a name. does God have a name? maybe.. maybe not.. .no one can answer that... but He does have secondary names viz... God Father etc... Allah means The God. it is a title. the king of england... he is refered to as King.. no one calls him by his 1st name... similarly it is pointless to say that Allah is not The One True God.. its a title... this is a false statement... No muslim will say that Ishmael is the founder of Islam. i assume you have read this somewhere or heard it or something like that... would it be possible for you to post a ref? thanks... ok... first of all i dont think there is any biblical reference showing that Hagar was pagan... if her people were does that mean so was she? i dont think so.. did you know that Abrahams father used to manufacture idols for sale... i dont think this is in the Bible ... anyways... the point is as far as i know there is no reference stating that Hagar was pagan and that she taught these pagan ideas to her son.... If she was... well... which pagan god sprouted the fountain of water at the feet of Ismael??? Is any pagan god capable of doing this? a water well in the middle of the desert??? She wasnt pagan my friend... If she was pagan would Abraham a man of God take her??? wouldnt this be double standards on his part??? on one hand he says worship the true God... and then associates himself with pagans.... no... i dont think so... so i guess the whole thread falls apart.... because Hagar was not a pagan god worshiper.... once this is said... the rest is all absurd.... Take care Ali |
