Science, Creation & EvolutionAliensSounds more like an indictment against against earthly rule than against beings from other worlds. What could Satan possibly gain from tricking into believeing there is life out there? and how is he tricking us? I stated in my first post that I was not talking about 'grey' aliens which i assume you are on about when you mention abductions. I don't believe any of that tripe. Aliens are not visiting us. They are not mutilating our cattle and landing their spaceships in our corn. they are not abducting random hillbillies and sticking objects into their orifices. they are not beaming mind control rays into any of us or Nick Pope. Surely it would make for a more amazing universe if there were other planets, earth-like or otherwise, teeming with life of the most fascinating and varied kind? I know if I was a god I would set out to create the most varied and manifold universe I possibly could. Why not Jehovah? Yeah, He loves us so much he created bone cancer: the most painful and horrifying way to die. How gracious of Him. That article assumes our universe is one of extremes. Yes it is true that being too close to a star would be too hot for carbon-based life forms, and too far out would be too far out. but don't forget that requirements aren't that narrow. The habitable zone of the Sun extends from Venus to Mars (And possibly the asteroid belt) Our planet is just a very small sample of the Universe. the type of life on our planet may be exceptionally rare. Life also doesn't have to be carbon based either.[/b] |
