Science, Creation & EvolutionAliensNo credible researcher suggest silicon is a possibilty for advanced life, since silicon can sustain amino acid chains no more than a hundred such molecules long. Boron allows a little more complexity but has the disadvantage of not being very abundant in the universe. In regard to your solvents, anything without the advantages that the water molecule has in regard to all life chemistry will severely limit the potential for anything but the simplest life forms. Again, the molecular chain limitations for any advanced life severely limit this theory and most credible researchers have abandoned silicon as a reasonable basis for any complex life. You are kidding right?? I thought you said your were an emphericist! This assertion about "not evolving defenses against radiation, due to our lack of exposure" is totally absurd. NOTHING survives long enough to "evolve" when exposed to the type of interstellar radiation present in the areas you mentioned. Your sources for "Zone of Habitation" are engaging in more metaphysics than they are physics, and their suppositions are without merit. I will make nothing of it, other than to state your philosophy is in line with your worldview. You are consistent, I can say that! To summarize, you have offered "alians" and use the idea that exotic life, that is intelligent, is the source of some of our phenomena. You offer "other than carbon based life" as a way to explain away all the unlikeliness of life in other places. Yet, the evidence is clearly not on your side, and as an emphericist, I think this would give you cause to rethink your stance. Unfortunately, I think, from my experience, that your worldview is much more a result of moral choices of life style. A philosophy of reality will then automatically developed to fit your moral choices, and relativism is the easy way out. At this point, you are using metaphysical psycobabble about "alian existence" to justify and bolster your world view. I make no personal accusation toward you personally, I am offering a standard commenatary on ALL relativists, who claim there is "no god" or "no ultimate truth". Its amazing and fun for me to watch the amount of rationalization of the evidence people with your world view will go to, in order to defend their perspectives, and in every case I have witnessed, its because of a hidden, or not so hidden moral choice of lifestyle that is behind it. Don't get me wrong, I am not accusing you of being "immoral" or at least not any more immoral than me. In fact the "moral choices of lifestyle" of which I speak, may be no more than a "materialistic" purpose to life, which excludes God, and places US as the center of importance. So, please don't think I am saying you are are some "clandestine immoral person", for I am not. |
