ArchivedCatholic Church :: Praying to Saints????Getting a bit touchy aren't we? If you have read my posts you will see where I quoted the Greek for saint and all of the meanings of that word. The Holy Ghost in Greek, at least according to you, is Saint Ghost. Always the same argument and never any proof other than a personal interpretation of the Bible to suit your traditions. The Bible does not say saints in heaven cannot hear our prayers, however neither does it state that those dead in Christ can hear our prayers. What the Bible does state is God hears our prayers and God answers our prayers. What you have refused to address is what both the Psalmist and Solomon teach in Scripture and that is once we die our bodies return to dust, our thoughts perish, and our spirit returns to God. If our thought perish how can a dead saint hear or repeat our prayers? |
