Alpha said:If a person was following Christ and then discontinues to follow Christ, was that person ever saved to begin with?
Yes he was ... if a person is following Christ at some point he believed, at some point he was saved.
His free will God gave us so freely to choose to follow and love him, that person decided he wanted to give it back... He walked away, God never leaves us ,. the person walks away from Christ.
You and Aineo seem to agree that a person can walk away after they had faith , loved and produced good fruit, you have made numerous comments that you agree to ,. you even showed hypothetical examples.
However you both insist that a person cannot lose his salvation, yet show examples of how they can.
You also show that a person once walked in the light with christ and he fell away and failed to keep up his faith and love and produce fruits.
Anyone with sound mind reading these response's can see that your statments are non-valid in regard to the OSAS doctrine.
You and Aneio both agree that you have faith love christ and produce his good fruits, why would you have to worry about your salvation if you are continuing in Christ.
Most christians agree with this , however most also agree ones salvation is conditional as you both seem to agree upon, yet in every one of your post you also claim that salvation is Assured.
With no disrespect, your statements are absurd and twisted.
Billions of christians have not been decieved by misinterpreting the gospels. It is quite clear and obvious that the OSAS doctrine is not biblical as far as Assured Salvation Goes.
And you both made that quite clear with regard to your numerous amounts of statments.
