ArchivedA Complaint to Allah ...In Matthew, 10:34-36, Jesus said; "...I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I have come to turn'a man against his father, a daughter against her mother..." What He means is that He did not come to intentionally turn people against each other, but that that will simply happen in people who have different fathers. As Paul said, "What do day and night have in common?" Jesus's motives were to bring everyone toward God but He has the devil to contend with in people who do not believe Him. He said "He who is not with me is against me." In other words, we are either ruled by the truth (God) or lies (the devil). Those 2 entities do not get along very well because people who are being deceived do not like the truth. Herein lies the problem in witnessing. Do we compromise the truth so that people will not be offended? |
