Peace Scorpion,
I’d like to comment on a few things.
One of them being the status of the Sunnah of the prophet or the hadiths as it is commonly referred to. It should be understood that what the Sahih ( authentic) hadiths mentions is too be taken without doubt as one would accept a Quranic verse. In saying that, what ever miracles that are mentioned in the authentic hadiths that Prophet Muhammad did, is to be taken as a sign of his prophet hood. Moreover, the Sunnah ( or the traditions) are the prophets ways and the Quran is God’s words. As the Bible is in one volume, the Quran is separate from the hadiths, but you cannot accept one and reject the other. By rejecting the Sunnah, ultimately makes you a non-believer. This is the status of the hadiths.
So there is really no point in belittling the Sunnah.
In fact Islamic miracle stories began to appear after two Christian Bishops (Abu Qurra from Edessa and Arethas from Caesarea) made a point of Muhammad’s lack of authenticating miracles
Absolutely false. Because the prophet allowed his companions to record his actions.
With the passages that the author mentions, I’ll be back (God-willing) to explain them. I have to go back to the actual tafsir (or explanation) of the Quran and the biography of the prophet.
Peace and Blessings be to the Believers
