ArchivedProphecies told by the Prophet MuhammadI hope you read in my last post the Jeremiah prophecy. That shows that even though a prophet makes a true claim in the general sense, that does not mean God sent him. And even if you do not want to use the "few years" claim, then you should read the rest of my other post in which I quoted a site that responds to other things other than the years. Anyway, this is what your Muslim friends said about the "few years": "Apparently, there was not a remote chance of the fulfillment of the either prediction in the next few years. On the one hand, there were a handful of the Muslims, who were being beaten and tortured in Makkah, and even till eight years after this prediction there appeared no chance of their victory and domination. On the other, the Romans were losing more and more ground every next day." On the other hand? What do they mean on the other hand? The prophecy said a few years. This prophecy was unfulfilled. If I say the Patriots will win by a few touchdowns in the Super Bowl and they ended up winning 16-13, did my prediction come true? I got the part right when it says they will win, but a few touchdowns, that I did not get right. And even if I did get it right, does that mean God gave me a revelation? The prophecies of the Qu'ran are 50-50 predictions. The prophecis of the Bible are...well, just look at the numbers Scorpz gave you for crying out loud: Stoner considers 48 prophecies and says, "we find the chance that any one man fulfilled all 48 prophecies to be 1 in 10157, or 1 in 100,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000, 000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000, 000, 000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000. The estimated number of electrons in the universe is around 1079. It should be quite evident that Jesus did not fulfill the prophecies by accident." The Holy Bible is the Word of God. |
