Greetings and peace Lady Fatima, and my apologies
Can I suggest you look over my answers to comments made to Alexei and OneGod in the thread on the virgin birth. Hopefully I have explained myself a little clearer there as to the meaning of the immanence and transendence of God.
Basically, it means that God is both unknowable and knowable. He is far above all creation, and as such is unknowable and unreachable, yet within Islam you have hadiths and traditions and even Surah's that suggest He is knowable.. I have listed some examples.
I basically want to find out how this affects you personally as a Muslim. You accept that God is transcendent, yet do you personally accept He is knowable personally, and if so, how do you know this and how does it affect your daily life? I guess, it's what I would call my testimony.. How God has impacted my life in the past, and how today he is constantly a part of my life in a very intimate way. Is there a comparison in Islam?
My thanks for your answer
Carol
