ArchivedSALVATIONTruthSeeker, as humans we have/do sin on purpose at times. You cannot tell me that you have not sinned on purpose (premeditate something, and you know it was wrong, but you did it anyway). And even in the Old Testament, when people sinned (whether on purpose or not), they would have to sacrifice certain animals which had no blemish. The sacrifices were obviously a symbol of the Messiah's death. That's why we no longer shed the blood of lambs for remission of sins, because the final sacrifice has been given through Jesus Christ. In the Old Testament, even if someone was not Hebrew and they believed in the one true God of Israel, they would STILL give sacrifices. And if you did not obey God in the Old Testament and sacrifice the animals He told you to, you will not be forgiven of your sins. In modern times, if you do not accept Jesus' blood for the remission of sins, your sins will not be forgiven. It's either you achieve false salvation by your way or true salvation by the means of Yahweh. |
