Quran and Bible debateTHIS IS NOT A QURAN AND BIBLE DEBATE !??Mr. Aineo,
The quotation below is wrong. it is not your error, it is an added interpetation of the translator. When I went to the site the Arabic tafseer ( Exegate) does not say "three, God, Jesus and his mother" I will quote the arabic tafseer for you, please find an Arab to translate for you. it does not say anything about Mary being part of the trinity. Simply because this information is not in the verse itself.
Your quote:
Quote:
O People of the Scripture, the Gospel, do not go to extremes, do not go beyond the bounds, in your religion and do not say about God except, the saying of, the truth, such as exalting Him above any associations with a partner or a child: the Messiah, Jesus the son of Mary, was only the Messenger of God, and His Word which He cast to, [which] He conveyed to, Mary, and a spirit, that is, one whose spirit is, from Him: he [Jesus] is here attached to God, exalted be He, as an honouring for him, and not as you claim, that he is the son of God, or a god alongside Him, or one of three, because one that possesses a spirit is compound, while God transcends being compound and the attribution of compounds to Him. So believe in God and His messengers, and do not say, that the gods are, 'Three', God, Jesus and his mother. Refrain, from this and say what, it is better for you, [to say], which is the profession of His Oneness. Verily, God is but One God. Glory be to Him, transcending [the possibility], that He should have a son! To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and in the earth, as possessions, creatures and servants, and such sovereignty is not compatible with [that] prophethood [of Jesus]. God suffices as a Guardian, a Witness to this.

The Trinity is defined as One God in three persons and Mary is not now and never has been viewed as one of three gods or a god.
This is a factual error.
the correct quotation ( in Arabic ) of the same site you quote from is:
* تفسير جامع البيان في تفسير القران/ الطبري (ت 310 هـ) مصنف و مدقق

{ يٰأَهْلَ ٱلْكِتَابِ لاَ تَغْلُواْ فِي دِينِكُمْ وَلاَ تَقُولُواْ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ إِلاَّ ٱلْحَقَّ إِنَّمَا ٱلْمَسِيحُ عِيسَى ٱبْنُ مَرْيَمَ رَسُولُ ٱللَّهِ وَكَلِمَتُهُ أَلْقَاهَا إِلَىٰ مَرْيَمَ وَرُوحٌ مِّنْهُ فَآمِنُواْ بِٱللَّهِ وَرُسُلِهِ وَلاَ تَقُولُواْ ثَلاَثَةٌ ٱنتَهُواْ خَيْراً لَّكُمْ إِنَّمَا ٱللَّهُ إِلَـٰهٌ وَاحِدٌ سُبْحَانَهُ أَن يَكُونَ لَهُ وَلَدٌ لَّهُ مَا فِي ٱلسَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي ٱلأَرْضِ وَكَفَىٰ بِٱللَّهِ وَكِيلاً }
As you see in the above tafseer there is no mentioning of Mary to be part of the Trinity. It was the error of the person who translated the tafseer of the Verse. So you can't and no body can base his opinion of the Quran on someone's translation. This is the reason why the Quran is the only scripture that is preserved in it's original language ( Arabic ) from the time it was revealed 1400 years ago.... memorized today by over 8 million muslims around the world.
Your quote:
The Qur’an plainly states the Jews (not one Jew or one group of Jews) believe that Ezra is the son of God, which is another factual error. You posted you believe the Qur’an 1000%, but had to go outside the Qur’an to find a rationalization for what the Qur’an dogmatically states is the truth.

Very interesting site, isn't it, JEWS FOR ALLAH!!
"And there are, certainly, among the People of the Book (Jews and Christians), those who believe in Allah, and that which has been revealed to you and in that which has been revealed to them, humbling themselves before Allah: They will not sell the Revelations of Allah for a miserable gain! For them is a reward with their Lord, and Allah is swift in account."
{Holy Quran 3:199}
May The Lord of the Universe, The God of our Father Abraham ( The Father of Prophets) guide those who are humble in their hearts and sincere in seeking the Truth to His Straight Path.
Ameen
