The New Jerusalem
και εγω ιωαννης ειδον την πολιν την αγιαν ιερουσαλημ καινην καταβαινουσαν απο του θεου εκ του ουρανου ητοιμασμενην ως νυμφην κεκοσμημενην τω ανδρι αυτης

Rev 21.2 And I, John, saw the Holy City, New Jerusalem, coming down out of Heaven from God, having been prepared as a bride, having been adorned for her Husband.

Rev 21.3 And I heard a great voice out of Heaven, saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God with men! And He will tabernacle with them, and they will be His people, and God Himself will be with them as their God.

Rev 21.9 And one of the seven angels came to me, he having the seven bowls being filled with the seven last plagues, and spoke with me, saying, Come, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb.

Shelter; home; abode; refuge. As applied to 53.15…the Paradise to which repair the souls of the martyrs, or the pious, or the angels: or that in which the night is passed. It comes from the root “awa”, which means he betook himself to it, or repaired to it, for lodging, covert, or refuge; and (simply) he got him or got himself, betook himself, repaired, or resorted, to it; he returned to it; he took up his abode in it; he lodged or abode, or dwelt in it; to betake oneself for shelter, refuge or rest, have recourse to retire. • John further describes the New Jerusalem as a tent/habitation/tabernacle via the feminine noun “skene”
• The New Jerusalem is also described as having a great and high wall
• 53.15 extends 53.14 by telling us via “aaindaha” – that the things previously described, reside in the presence of “ha” (her)
• The significance of the singular feminine suffixed possessive pronoun “ha” to “inda” cannot be overlooked, as it is indicating an exact quality to what it possesses
• Surveying all Koranic usages of “aaindaha” clearly shows that it is always used in relation to Biblical material (i.e. 3.31…Found in the presence of her (Mary)…(Book of Luke material); 18.86…Found in the presence of her (The Great Harlot)…..Second Beast with two horns…(Book of Revelation material)
• 53.15 continues with the noun “jannatu”, meaning a walled garden paradise
• Looking at all 13 Koranic occurrences and variants of “jannatu”, shows that it is referencing treed garden paradises, with flowing rivers, and fruits
• Further, and in keeping with Revelation, the Koranic usages of “jannatu” and variants, describes this treed garden paradise in terms of “her breadth; width (the mutual distance of the edges or sides of a thing)” per the classic definition of “arduha”
• By indicating that paradise can be described in terms of breadth, width, edges, sides, the Koran is indicating a geography to heaven – same as detailed in Revelation 21.16
• Further, the Koran repeatedly describes this garden with the feminine possessive pronoun “ha” – same as in Revelation
• 53.15 also describes this treed garden paradise with the feminine noun of place, “alma’wa”
• “Alma’wa” refers to a “shelter; home; abode; or refuge”
• Further, the root “awa” can be “said of a wound, meaning it drew together, for healing”
• All Koranic usages of the term “alma’wa” demonstrate that it is feminine in nature and always refers to either the abode of heaven or hell
• This Koranic abode is thus also known for healing – as described by the Tree of Life in the Book of Revelation
• Observe these uncanny parallels to the New Jerusalem as detailed in Revelation:
1) Both have tree(s)
2) Both are gardens
3) Both have walls
4) Both have river(s)
5) Both have fruit
6) Both can be measured in terms of breadth & width
7) Both are referred to in the feminine
8 ) Both are for healing
• The Koranic treed & walled garden paradise is none other than the Biblical New Jerusalem
• Amazingly, 53.14 & 53.15 have amply demonstrated the Biblical abode of God (i.e. Jesus) as observed by John when he saw Jesus descend for the second time, as relayed to us in 53.13
• Thus, it is abundantly clear that the authors of the Koran understood very well that Jesus is God Almighty, and that His abode is the Heavenly New Jerusalem
• Summarizing ayahs 1 - 15 in sura 53, we have the following parallels to Revelation:
1. John falls at the feet of Jesus
2. John is the Companion of Jesus
3. John did not die
4. John did not err
5. John speaks not by his own will
6. John received divinely inspired Revelation
7. This Revelation was signified via an angel
8. The Revelation is from Jesus Christ
9. Jesus taught John
10. Jesus is the Triune God
11. The Lord Jesus is Uniplural in nature
12. The Lord Jesus is coming with the clouds
13. Jesus descends from the clouds to John
14. John is in the immediate presence of Jesus
15. Jesus speaks to John
16. John writes down what is revealed
17. John hears & sees the Truth from the Soul (i.e. Spirit)
18. John will see the truth from above
19. John sees Jesus descend once again (confirming that Jesus descended previously)
20. Jesus descends with the New Jerusalem from Heaven
21. Jesus is in the presence of the Tree of Life
22. Jesus is the final destination
23. Jesus is in the presence of the walled garden paradise
