In an attempt to bring this back on track....
In any country or culture where the law is supreme over the wishes of some authority, that country or culture is declaring there is a right and wrong which stand above opinion. In the case of the United States, our Constitution is the basis of that law, and our Constitution is based upon the Judeo/Christian ethic -- an ethic established in the Bible by God.
Right and wrong are not opinions. Truth and falsehood are not opinions. We may have opinions about them, but they are realities which exist outside of the human brain and heart.
I almost choked when I read Javaro's "Hitler and all those other examples you gave, had the power to make their ideas right. "
Oh, really????
Javaro, go watch children play sometime. They have an innate sense of 'fair.' It comes hardwired into the human being.
But you have denied truth itself exists outside of your opinion, or anyone's opinion. You have denied that there is an overarching right and wrong which is not made up by humans, but imposed upon them from the outside. This means you have nothing to build your life upon but the shifting sands of your own opinions. You have no reference point, no plumb line, outside yourself.
And you are claiming no one else does, either.
Then I assume you only follow the laws you feel like following, no matter who may get hurt in the process. You will, evidently, do what you want to do regardless of others. Maybe you will help them and maybe you will not. Maybe you will be kind for a moment, and maybe not.
In other words, no one could possibly depend on you and you daren't depend on anyone else. It must be an extraordinarily lonely life underneath all that bravado.
