Christian/Muslim ThreadsThe Main Questions AreHi there Joseph, long time no see. Apparently I was right when I said that it must be norm in missionaries to bend others' statements. Well lets remember what i said. "As for Christianity, I really dont think Christian theology will have any appeal on Muslims. The real threat is with atheism. Actually Christian missionaries should deal with the mess at home before staging missions to non-Christian lands." As you see I was stating that it is not Islam (do not lose time on it) but atheism which is real threat to Christianity. Despite your awkward singleing out Islam I actually believe atheism is a real threat to all humanity. I would prefer someone be a Christian rather than an atheist. My personal stance is that there are two logical paths to take One God or no God. If existence of God could be proved noone would remain atheist. That's God's will. He wants humans to find and obey Him by their will. And the "will" is about one's arrogance or humility. (In that sense, how logical atheism is may be questioned.) As for Christianity, its doctrines cause too many complexities in God alternative. Thats why it is illogical. Occam's Razor principle says "one should not increase, beyond what is necessary, the number of entities required to explain anything, iow, one should not make more assumptions than the minimum needed." Back on track, science and religion do not cancel each other as atheists claim. Religion is not an impediment to science. And science does not and cannot rule out existence of God. So it is just a matter of "(spiritual)choice" whether or not to accept God. Hah..absolutely not..Actually, most atheists are stupid but they pretend they are clever. Since religion and atheism are two opposing equivalents as they both depend on spiritual choice, I can fairly say there are many bigot atheists. As for me, not once I fell in doubt of my stance and beliefs in my discussions with atheists, because I *know* that God exists. I wouldnt believe in Him more than my current state if i had really seen God. And that is a mercy from Him. I have not seen anyone changed his beliefs just because of discussions. Conversion is an internal process. In the core of the issue lies the fact that you chose either to conform your life and desires to your faith, or conform your faith to your life and desires. How bad choice is the latter. Well you cannot shake stance of an atheist, and they cannot shake stance of a believer. Thats something only God can do. But i have many times unveiled stupidities of bigotry. They are too arrogant to accept their own mistakes. And this shows that they are on the wrong path. |
