You know.. Jesus said "He who is without sin.. let him cast the first stone".. and this was in response to the woman caught in sexual sin.. in her case "adultery"
He also said "woman, where are your accusers?".. "go and leave your life of sin (John 8:1-11)
Yes.. there are sins which sometimes we look at and think "they are worse than others". But what did God say?
All our righteous deeds are as filthy rags to God. (Eph 2:8-9, Isaiah 64:6)
and as even the apostle Paul said in Romans 7:24... "what a wretched man I am.. who will rescue me from this body of death?" thanks be to God, through Jesus Christ our Lord.
So Condemned... you are no more condemned for your sins than I was for mine... and the free gift of God is there for you as it is for everyone who accepts that Jesus's death and resurrection were to enable us to draw near to God and KNOW .. our sins are forgiven ... ... and you will HEAR him say "woman, where are your accusers? and you, like me can KNOW you will spend eternity with Him
Sure.. He will ask for things to change in your life.. but you know something? Changing now seems hard 'cos you don't want to change and you can't change in your own strength. If He asks you to change things, He will help you change them.. that is part of the reason He came as a man and lived on the earth as a man.. to experience life as you experience it, so He could help you overcome. (Hebrews 4:14-16)
