Hi, I tried asking this question in the trinity forum, but access was denied.
Aieno, I saw your explanation of "Logos" and how the Logos was "With" God. Which I can agree with.
But what I didn't see is your explanation of "Was" God.
In the beginning was the Word, the Word was WITH God and the Word WAS God. (Are we talking about two different gods?) in otherwords, do you read this passage, to say, "The word was WITH God, and the Word was a god" ? (similar to the translation Jehovah's witnesses use in the NWT) - if the word was "a god" wouldn't that lead us to suggest that He pre-existed as a god? If not, what does the "was God" mean?
Just curious what your take is on this (And no, I'm not asking to debate) I'm just curious what your stance is on that verse.
Thanks,
